AHLA Responsible Stay Program
Guest Supply is proud to support Responsible Stay, an environmental sustainability initiative that aims to unite hotels across America around sustainability priorities. The initiative focuses on four core areas, namely Energy, Water, Waste, and Sourcing to make guests’ experiences in hotels more environmentally and socially responsible. By committing to these principles, we join other AHLA members in strengthening environmental programs, education, and resources. Our goal is to help provide a responsible stay for guests while also protecting the future of the planet.

Responsible Sourcing
We require each of our suppliers and each of their subcontractors and supply chain providers that ultimately supply us with goods and services with respect to ethics, environmental practices, human rights, and labor practices to comply with Sysco’s Supplier Code of Conduct. We’re prioritizing partnerships with suppliers who consciously take action to minimize their environmental impact while advancing positive social change.
- Make investments in eco-friendly methods for production and distribution
- Evaluate and manage environmental and social risks within their supply chain and operations
- Incorporate clean, renewable energy sources for their manufacturing processes
- Strive to diminish emissions throughout the entire life cycle of their products

Water Conservation
We focus on sourcing products and programs that ensure the reduction of water usage by implementing water-efficient practices throughout a hotel’s operations. From offering hotel guests choices about how often their sheets and towels are washed to smarter kitchen, laundry, and landscaping management, low flow options on property, and more – these products & programs are working to reduce water consumption.
